Information: Montana West Economic Development and the Flathead County Port Authority are a public/private partnership focused on building a better economy in Northwest Montana. Our work focuses on marketing the area as a desirable business location and working with companies to relocate to our area. MWED administers several loan funds and facilitates a group of angel investors, the ACME Angels of Montana, who provide access to capital for business startup and expansion. MWED provides comprehensive data on workforce, demographics, trends, logistics, service providers and maintains a database of regional sites and facilities for business operations. MWED collaborates with other local, regional and national groups to build networks for business growth. MWED also supports a monthly roundtable for entrepreneurs called the E2 Group, providing value and relevance for entrepreneurs in Northwest Montana.
